GAMEX 2011 - Preview: Raving Rabbids: Alive and Kicking

Oh dear, how do I even begin to write this. The Rabbids were meant to be the enemies of Rayman in Rayman IV, Rayman IV became a new game based around playing minigames and was a lot of fun. The Rabbids spun off on their own little franchise of minigames and it started losing its touch. Then they turned it into a platformer that was actually kind of neat and now it's back to minigames... Using the Kinect. I got to play one minigame, take a look for yourself.

Does not look much fun does it? It was not. The game in question played a little like good old Lemmings, except where Lemmings was fun and challenging this was frustrating and stupid. You use your hands and mouth to activate certain paths to guide your Rabbids. Of course, the hit detection is simply terrible and the game doesn't seem to be following your moves at all, so it's pretty damn hard. Especially when the stage starts moving as well.

I really wanted to like Rabbids: Alive and Kicking, but based on this short preview I did not have any taste to grab a copy of the game, simply awful really.

Level of Anticipation:
3/10 - Looks Bad
